Year-round blueberry and asparagus supplier Gourmet Trading Co., Los Angeles, Calif., hired Evangelina Kaudze as director of food safety.

“Her experience in both sales and food safety allows her to understand all aspects of the business,” said president and chief executive officer Brian Miller, in a news release.

Kaudze has 7 years of industry experience in both conventionally and organically grown produce. Before coming to Gourmet Trading Co., she was Food Safety Manager at CCH Citrus, a California citrus cooperative packing house.
